Not for likes. For life.
Manifesto for the Respect of Pets
We refuse to remain silent in the face of a reality that is too often ignored: pets are bought, paraded, and used as props for social media content, only to be abandoned when interest wanes. An animal is not a trend.
An animal is not a marketing tool.
An animal is not a prop for a photo. An animal is a living, sentient being, capable of attachment, fear, joy, and suffering. When a person decides to adopt a dog, a cat, or any other companion animal, they take on a moral and lasting responsibility. We condemn the use of animals as objects for image or popularity. When visibility and followers take precedence over the well-being of a living being, it is a distortion that we must collectively reject.
We are calling:
- content creators to take exemplary responsibility for the animals they show to their community
- platforms and brands should not encourage the exploitation of animals as marketing props
- the public to support responsible adoption and animal shelters
- remind everyone that getting a pet is a lifelong commitment
We believe that true influence should inspire compassion, respect, and responsibility—not neglect.
Animals aren't just accessories. They're companions.
Donations for abandoned animals in Dubai and other conflict zones will be fully donated to local animal welfare organizations. These organizations work every day to rescue, care for, and find homes for abandoned animals. Every contribution directly helps improve their living conditions and support on-the-ground efforts. Together, we can give these animals a second chance.
